Calalus assists the homeless to find a designated municipal shelter system that has been inspected by our dedicated volunteers. A Shelter Monitor must be a minimum of 18 years old, available some evenings and weekends, and complete an individual training session before volunteering in this program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us and select Shelter Monitor from the drop-down on the Contact Form.
The Calalus Street Outreach Program brings food directly to where hunger and the homeless people are. Our Volunteers deliver life-saving balanced meals of protein, bread, fresh fruit, juice or milk, and water to different street sites around Metro Atlanta. Our Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Calalus Street Outreach Program, distributing not only food, but clothing, blankets, socks, personal care items, and other necessities while raising awareness in the community. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us and select Street Outreach Volunteer from the drop-down on the Contact Form.
Join us to collect needed supplies to benefit the homeless and community families. You can help by identifying drop-off locations, hosting a drive at your business, or helping sort, stuff, and distribute items to the homeless. We host drives for food, clothing, socks, shoes, school supplies, blankets, even holiday toys and more. Each drive is set up strategically throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us and select Collection Volunteer from the drop-down on the Contact Form.
